There is an app I have been intending to got this app for quite a while. It is called Pocket god. It costs $0.99 and is ranked 7 in the top 25. It is my first post on a game, so it may not be my best. Pocket God lets you control the lives of pigmys. It gives you the choice of being a caring God, or a deadly one. You can do (almost) anything, for example, I like making birds poop on their heads. Some things you can do are: zap the pigmys with lightning, feed them to sharks, drop them in a volcano, make a tusnmi happen and more! P.S. Don't buy lyirics+. It no longer works, and I don't know why.

I have really enjoyed Ocarina (See my previous posts), so I checked out Smule. I found an App called Sonic Boom. It costs $0.99 and is a fun time (and battery) waster. It is a combination of a entertainer and a game. They take the fun of a game and addictive nature of an entertainment App to make a great App. It lets you play around with the settings of a firecracker, then watch it go BOOOOOM! You can adjust things such as the size of the fire cracker and the length of the fuse. You use your finger like a match, then watch as the fire cracker explodes. You can speed up or slow down time. Then, like Ocarina, you can watch other people around the world make explosions.

J-man - Once again I have found a new App (Don't worry, I'm looking for something new to write about). It is called Lyrics+. It is ranked 10. in the top twenty-five and cost $0.99. It is just what I have been looking for. It is a App that has a huge database of lyrics. You can look through your iTunes library and chose a song to play. As the song plays the lyrics appear on the screen. But then, if you don't own the song you want the lyrics to you can search for it by name or artist. I suspect it is hooked up to iTunes, so if they have the song on iTunes you can see the probably find the lyrics for it. Printing the lyrics is another story.

J-man - I have been using a new App. It is called Spawn illuminati and it costs $0.99. I advise spending the extra dollar instead of buying the lite version. It is a time waster that lets you control colorful little lines that leave tails. You can control the environment, the properties of the lines. you can take snapshots, and adjust all the settings. You can set how you want the lines to interact with your finger, such as making them stay away from, or follow or swirl around your finger or jump back and forth between two fingers. You can pinch or spread your fingers to make the gravity stronger or the tails shorter. You can change the color or speed and is very entertaining to watch.

J-man - Today I have been playing with a new App. It is called Ocarina, by Smule. It costs $0.99 and I have been playing it. No, that is not a typo. What Ocarina does is it turns the iPod Touch into a musical instrement. If you have an iphone you blow into the microphone it picks up the sound and then lets you touch keys (little circles) that let you play music. If you hold down different circles you can play different notes. You can also download free directions to play music. But here's where it gets interesting: when you tap something, you can listen to people all over the world and then broadcast what you are playing. Starting our project on a trip to Paris

We started our project in Paris. I used my mom's ipod while we were there. The only other computer was dad's (super expensve) laptop, which he was not planing to carry around so we had to use the iPod Touch for most of our computing needs. Because we wanted to go to all sorts of places in Paris, we bought metro passes and used a metro map app on the iPod to find our train to get to a museum. Once inside the museum, we got an app that has an audio guide to give an backround story on the artwork that you are looking at. We used this technique at l'orangerie, musee d'orsay and Notre Dame.

On the way home I translated the words on a sign with a translator app so we could find our location so we could use the metro app to get home. The next day we went to jardin de luxemburg, using the Google Maps app to find our way. When we got there, renting a toy sailboat cost 2 eruos. I used a currency converter app to find the price in U.S. dollars (about $2.81). When we got home, I used a safari web browerser to learn about Parisian bike rentals.
