Starting our project on a trip to Paris

We started our project in Paris. I used my mom's ipod while we were there. The only other computer was dad's (super expensve) laptop, which he was not planing to carry around so we had to use the iPod Touch for most of our computing needs. Because we wanted to go to all sorts of places in Paris, we bought metro passes and used a metro map app on the iPod to find our train to get to a museum. Once inside the museum, we got an app that has an audio guide to give an backround story on the artwork that you are looking at. We used this technique at l'orangerie, musee d'orsay and Notre Dame.

On the way home I translated the words on a sign with a translator app so we could find our location so we could use the metro app to get home. The next day we went to jardin de luxemburg, using the Google Maps app to find our way. When we got there, renting a toy sailboat cost 2 eruos. I used a currency converter app to find the price in U.S. dollars (about $2.81). When we got home, I used a safari web browerser to learn about Parisian bike rentals.
